Original Giraffe Canvas
A couple weeks ago I had extra brown paint on my palette and rather than wash it down the drain, I decided to use it up on a blank canvas. The paint went on pretty thick, so I used a piece of newspaper to absorb the excess, which left a nice subtle texture. My friend suggest I paint a giraffe (I've collected them since I was a child). I was hesitant at first, but then I turned to Pinterest for some inspiration. Below is a screen shot of my Pinterest Board.
I feel like painting an actual giraffe is out of my league at this time, so I chose the giraffe pattern and found it easy AND fun. When I hung it up, to admire it from a distance, I spied the silhouette of a dog in the upper right hand corner. Here it is...
